In order to determine a good start up business make sure you look into your market carefully.  You need to take surveys to see what people are looking for, and see what the industry is lacking.  Dry cleaners and convenience stores are always a good business to start because they are in demand. Before you start any business however you have to see what is in your area.

You don’t want to start a store similar to another business in your area.  When you start up a new business with a small amount of money you should limit your competition.  Work on starting a unique company. This way you can stick out from everyone one, but you also have to make sure that the company you start is profitable.  If you can start your business online to build your customer base, this will help you to save money.  When you open a new store where you have to hire employees this will take away from your earning potential.  So starting an online business can be the best way to go.

Another good business to start is a food business.  Since people always have to eat its something that will always be useful and beneficial to everyone.  You just have to decide if you’re going rent out a space or run the business from your own home.  If you have the business out of your home and deliver to special events you can save money on the office rental and since you have a business in your home you can also write off your expenses on your taxes at the end of the year.
