If you are looking to start a business these days you have probably realized that businesses that deal with new and constantly updating technology are probably the best bet. One of these businesses is the cell phone business. Since there are continually new products and let’s face it, everyone has a cell phone these days, there is a good chance going into this business can be very lucrative.

While it may seem like an easy business to get into, the cell phone business requires a second look. There is the most obvious way to get into the cell phone business which involves the retail business. This means renting a place and stocking it, hiring employees, the whole nine yards. With the big cell phone companies that are on almost every corner and the state of the economy, it might not be very easy or successful to get into the cell phone business this way.

Don’t worry however because there are many other aspects of the cell phone business that can be tapped into and you can have a very successful business. These aspects of the cell phone business are ones that are not the most obvious one of opening your own store. They include things like going into the cell phone accessory business, or developing products for the newer smart phones (applications, mobile web browsers and pages, and GPS powered tools), or even starting an online store that does not have the same start up costs as a tradition brick and mortar building but can still be very profitable.
